99Exch ID: Getting One, Using It, Keeping It

What a 99Exch ID actually is

Strip away the jargon and it is an account. Username, password, a balance attached to it, and a history of everything you have placed. The word ID is used instead of account because that is the vocabulary the whole exchange scene in India settled on years ago, and it stuck.

What makes it different from an account on an ordinary website is who creates it. There is no green signup button on the 99Exch panel that emails you a confirmation link. A person creates the account, tells you what it is, and that person remains your point of contact for everything afterwards — deposits, payouts, resets, a working panel address.

People coming from app-store gaming find this genuinely odd for about a day. Then they realise the practical difference is small: you message somebody instead of filling a form, and in exchange you get a human who answers rather than a support queue that does not.

The three kinds of 99Exch ID you will hear about

The confusion is nearly always between the first two. Somebody opens the demo, likes it, plays for an hour, and assumes they now have a 99Exch ID. They do not. Demo mode is not attached to any username and creates no record of anything.

How to get a new 99Exch ID, step by step

1. Open the agent chat. Any "Get 99Exch ID" button on this page goes there. Your first message can be four words long.
2. Say which username you want. They check availability. If it is taken you pick again, which takes ten seconds.
3. Ask for the current UPI details. Fresh ones, every time, because these rotate. Do not reuse an ID from a previous conversation.
4. Send the opening deposit and screenshot it. Usually Rs 100 minimum. The screenshot is not paranoia, it is the thing that settles any question in ten seconds instead of ten minutes.
5. Receive your credentials. Username and a temporary password come back on the same chat.
6. Log in and change the password immediately. Before you place anything. That temporary string has been typed into a chat window.

Six steps, and four of them are you typing short messages. The genuinely slow part is only ever the agent's reply time, which depends entirely on what else is happening that evening.

Choosing a 99Exch username you will not regret

Things that cause trouble later: underscores and hyphens together in one name, because you will remember that there was a separator but not which one. Trailing digits that mean something to you today and nothing in March. Anything that looks similar to another account you own on a different platform.

Also worth knowing: the username cannot be changed afterwards. Not by you, not really by the agent either — practically it means closing one 99Exch ID and opening another, with the balance moved across. Everybody who has done this once picks more carefully the second time.

What the agent needs from you, and what they do not

Short list on both sides, because this is where people either overshare or get suspicious of a perfectly normal request.

The single most useful piece of planning in this entire process: if you know which fixture you want, open the 99Exch ID the day before. It removes the most common frustration there is, which is sitting at the toss with money sent and no credentials yet.

Your first hour with a new 99Exch ID

What to do, roughly in order, so the first session is not spent hunting for things.

Change the password — the 99Exch login page covers that screen in detail. Then find four items and confirm you know where each one lives: the balance strip, the account statement, the cricket rail, and the cash-out control. Those four cover almost everything you will ever need.

Open a market without placing anything. Look at the two prices and the amounts underneath them. Notice that the amount is a real constraint rather than decoration — it tells you how much can actually be matched at that price.

Then place something small. Genuinely small, an amount you would not think about twice. The 99Exch demo ID, and what it cannot teach you

Demo mode is genuinely useful for one thing and useless for another, and being clear about which is which saves people from a specific kind of overconfidence.

The 99Exch master ID scam, explained once

Somebody will eventually offer to sell you a master or admin 99Exch ID. The pitch varies — better odds, no limits, see other players' positions, unlimited credit. All of it is invented.

A master account is an operational tool for creating and managing player accounts. It does not get different prices, because prices come from the market rather than from your account type. It does not let you see anybody else's positions. And it is not something a person outside the agent chain can be handed.

What the seller actually wants is either an upfront payment for nothing, or your existing 99Exch credentials as part of the "verification" that will supposedly upgrade your account. Both endings are bad and neither is new — this exact scam has been running on Indian exchange platforms for years with only the branding changed.

There is no upgrade. There is one kind of account a player gets, and you already have it.

Should you hold more than one 99Exch ID?

Occasionally people end up with two — one opened through a friend's agent, one of their own. It is not forbidden and nothing dramatic happens. It is just usually a bad idea for boring reasons.

Split balances are harder to track, and the the second account always ends up neglected, so the honest question of whether you are up or down over three months becomes genuinely difficult to answer. Two agents means two deposit routes and two payout conversations. And the discipline that comes from watching a single number go down does not work when the number is spread across two places.

The one situation where a second 99Exch ID makes sense is a practical one: your original agent has become unreachable and you need to keep playing. Even then, the tidier move is to withdraw whatever sits in the old account first rather than leaving a balance stranded with somebody who has stopped replying.

Reactivating a inactive 99Exch ID

Accounts that sit untouched for months often get marked inactive. This is not a suspension and nothing has been taken — it is housekeeping on the agent's side.

Reactivation is a message. Username, and the fact that you are returning. The agent flips it back and usually sends a fresh temporary password at the same time, since whatever you had is likely both forgotten and stale.

Two things tend to have changed while you were away. The panel address, because those rotate constantly. And possibly the agent themselves, if the person who issued the account has moved on. If your old chat has gone quiet for weeks, say so when you contact a new agent — an existing 99Exch ID under a departed agent is a slightly different piece of admin than a fresh signup, and mentioning it upfront skips a round of confusion.

Any balance that was in the account is still in the account. Being inactive does not eat into it.

When a 99Exch ID gets suspended

Rare, but it happens, and the reasons are narrower than rumour suggests.

The common one is a payment problem — a deposit that got reversed, or details that did not match — a deposit that was reversed, or a payout that bounced because of mismatched details. The account gets frozen while somebody works out what happened, and it unfreezes when they do.

The other real one is suspected account sharing or credential compromise, usually flagged because of logins from places that do not fit. That suspension is protective, and being annoyed at it is understandable but backwards.

What does not get you suspended: winning. This is worth saying plainly because the belief is widespread. A profitable player on an exchange is not costing the platform anything — the money comes from the other user, and commission on your winnings is revenue. There is no incentive to close a winning 99Exch ID, and the accounts people describe as "banned for winning" almost always turn out to have a payment or verification story behind them.

Keeping your 99Exch ID secure without overthinking it

Four habits, none of them difficult.

• A password used nowhere else in your life. Not your email, not your UPI app, not another exchange.
• No saved password on any device that is not yours, and log out properly on those devices.
• Credentials only ever typed into an address your agent gave you. Never into a link from search or a group chat.
• If the balance moves without you, message the agent and change the password in the same minute.

What you do not need: an authenticator app, a password manager, or anything elaborate. The 99Exch ID system is deliberately simple and the risks against it are simple too. Matching that with four plain habits is enough.

What a 99Exch ID does not require

Worth listing because people arrive expecting paperwork that is not there.

No KYC documents at signup. No PAN card, no Aadhaar upload, no selfie holding an ID. No email address, no email verification loop, no password-reset link landing in a spam folder. No minimum age declaration form, though the 18+ rule applies regardless of whether anybody asks you to tick a box.

What replaces all of that is the agent relationship. Somebody knows who you are becuase they issued your account and processed your first payment, and that is the whole verification model. Lighter than a regulated operator, and worth being clear-eyed about rather than pretending it is the same thing.

The one place identity does come up is withdrawal, where the name on the receiving account needs to match. That is not KYC exactly, but it is the point at which who you are starts to matter.

What your 99Exch ID looks like from the agent's side

Understanding the other end of the conversation makes the whole process less mysterious, and it explains why certain requests take longer than others.

An agent sees a list of the accounts they have created. Your username, your balance, your exposure, your transaction history. They can create accounts, adjust balances when a deposit or payout is processed, reset passwords, and freeze an account. That is the extent of it.

What they cannot see is anything about how you bet in a way that would let them act on it. They are not sitting there watching your positions and taking the other side. Agents earn from the commission structure and from volume, not from you losing a specific market, and a 99Exch agent with a hundred active players has no interest in the outcome of any single one of them.

This also clarifies why some requests are instant and others are not. A password reset is one click on their side. A withdrawal involves moving actual money and possibly checking with somebody above them, which is why the two feel so different even though both are "just a message to the agent".

Moving a balance between 99Exch accounts

Comes up more than you would think — a username somebody regrets, an account under an agent who has gone quiet, or two accounts being consolidated into one.

It is an agent-side operation and it is straightforward when both accounts sit under the same agent. They debit one, credit the other, and it appears in both statements. Ask for it in one message naming both usernames and the amount, and it usually happens in minutes.

Across different agents it is messier, because two people have to coordinate a transfer of real money between their own books. Most of the time the practical route is simpler: withdraw from the old 99Exch ID to your bank, then deposit into the new one. Slower by an hour, and it leaves a clean record on both sides, which matters if anything is ever queried later.

Mistakes people make requesting a 99Exch ID

All of these are avoidable and all of them are common.

• Paying before asking for current UPI details. Reusing an ID from an old chat is the single biggest cause of a delayed 99Exch ID, because retired UPI addresses do not bounce, they just go somewhere unhelpful.
• Not screenshotting the payment. Costs nothing to take, saves a long conversation if the credit does not appear.
• Asking at the worst possible moment. Ten minutes before a big toss, along with everybody else.
• Choosing a username in a hurry. It is permanent, and you will be typing it on a phone keyboard for as long as you use the account.
• Depositing a large opening amount. There is no benefit. The minimum is the minimum for a reason, and a big first balance on an unfamiliar platform is how good intentions dissolve in week one.

None of these are catastrophic. They just turn a five-minute process into a forty-minute one, usually on the night you were least willing to wait.

What the 99Exch ID does not come with

A short expectations note, because people arrive with assumptions borrowed from apps that work differently.

There is no welcome bonus attached to the account itself. Whatever an individual agent offers on a deposit is their own arrangement, varies from one to the next, and is not a platform feature you can look up. There are no loyalty points, no tier system, and no referral dashboard sitting in your profile.

No verified badge, no account levels, no profile to fill in. The 99Exch ID is functional rather than social, and there is nothing in it to customise beyond your password and the odds display format. People used to gaming apps sometimes spend a while looking for a settings screen with more in it than that.

Nor is there a referral programme in the account. Some agents run their own arrangement for bringing in players, and if that interests you it is a conversation with them rather than a button you will find after logging in. The distinction matters because people go hunting through the 99Exch menus for a referral section that was never built.

There is also no email attached to the 99Exch ID, which surprises people. No confirmation mail, no monthly statement in your inbox, no marketing you have to unsubscribe from. Everything that would normally arrive by email happens in the agent chat instead, which is either refreshing or unfamiliar depending on what you are used to.
